Apple just announced the Mac Studio and Studio Display. The new Mac is the "first computer to put outrageous performance, extensive connectivity, and capability, in compact form right on your desk." The computer has Four Thunderbolt 4 ports on the back, 10Gb ethernet, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and Pro audio jack. The Mac Studio has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 capability.

The Mac Studio with M1 Max CPU is 50% faster than the Mac Pro. The variation with M1 Ultra is 80% faster than the fastest Mac Pro. The M1 Ultra Mac Studio "can play 18 streams of 8K ProRes 422 video." This is the only computer ever that is capable of this. The SSD in the Mac Studio "delivers 7.4GB/s of performance and 8TB of capacity." The new desktop offers 64GB of memory with M1 Max, and 128GB with M1 Ultra.

"Studio display has an all-screen design with narrow borders. All aluminum enclosure. Same design as the 24" iMac [and it] tilts up to 30 degrees." The display is 5K Retina, supports TrueTone, is antireflective, and has a nanotexture glass option. It is 27" and has 14.7M pixels. The Studio Display uses an A13 Bionic chip with a camera, Center Stage, and an audio system with six speakers and 600 nits of brightness.
