Apple has posted a banner on its website and inside the News app to make it simpler for consumers to give to UNICEF to support individuals impacted by the Ukraine conflict.

When users open the Apple News app on their iPhone, they'll see a banner asking them to give to the cause, and Apple also has a button at the top of its apple.com homepage. It launches the Music or iTunes app, where you may make a payment. Apple said it would donate 100 percent of the money to UNICEF to help families affected by the catastrophe in Ukraine triggered by Russia's incursion.

Apple has taken additional actions in response to the Russia-Ukraine crisis, including suspending sales in Russia. Sputnik and RT are no longer accessible for download from international App Stores, yet are available in Russia.

CEO Tim Cook recently sent an internal memo to staff indicating that the company will match donations to Ukraine at a 2:1 ratio.
