Welp. According to The Commercial Times, their sources claim that Apple is focusing on updating Mac Processors every 18 months instead of every 12 months like the A series chips for the iPhones. Which should be like: base processors gets updated every 12 months and Pro and Max processors gets updated six months later. But does it mean we will not get the M2 chip next year? Nahhhh.

They say that the M2 chip (which is Codenamed “Staten”) is still going to release in the first half of 2022 using the 4nm process, following up other reports. Meanwhile with the M2 Pro and M2 Max, it is codenamed “Rhodes” expected to release in the first half of 2023.
