Apple supplier BOE has recently converted the same factory that currently manufactures the iPhone 13 displays to manufacturing OLED displays up to 15” that is aimed for future iPads according to a korean website The Elec. But apparently, we will see an iPad more than 12.9” in the future but not anytime soon According to Mark Gurman.

Information about the factory, they say that it may have the ability to produce a two-layer RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) OLED displays, allowing future iPads to get significantly brighter OLED display. I said ”may” because it is currently unsure if BOE would be able to success make them due to how complex the two-layer OLED display technology is.

Apple’s Other OLED suppliers like Samsung and LG tried to make two-layer OLED displays but they they did several attempts to vary its supply chain to reduce the risk of relying on a single supplier and to secure competitive pricing.
