According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the iPhone 14 models will diverge even further from the iPhone 14 Pro variants, with different CPUs and Wide cameras.

Gurman said that Apple is still working on satellite connectivity, confirming a number of reports concerning the iPhone 14 lineup. In the iPhone 14 range, Gurman detailed how Apple intends to further distinguish its Pro and non-Pro iPhone models. The new 48-megapixel Wide camera will be limited to the iPhone 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max, while the ordinary iPhone 14 models will keep the 12-megapixel Wide camera that was introduced with the iPhone 13. He also confirmed earlier speculations that the iPhone 14 models will look very similar to the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models, with a new camera cutout on the pro versions, that includes a pill-shaped cutout for Face ID and a circular cutout for the camera, as well as "bigger camera bumps to squeeze in additional sensors." Gurman also stated that Apple is still working on adding satellite communication capabilities to the iPhone. Apple allegedly intended to release the feature with iPhone 13 models, but the new capability might be available for the iPhone 14 series this year. When no cellular connection is available, the satellite connectivity functions are meant to notify crises and send brief SMS to emergency contacts.
