*M1 Pro Max is just a random guess name I made

Another report from dylandkt confirms about the iMac Pro’s processor configuration, what we will be getting for the March or April Event, and more!

Beginning with the main topic of this article, he has received confirmation that there will be an additional processor configuration for the upcoming iMac beyond the M1 Max that will have a 12 core CPU.. So, whats the name going to be? oh i know! How about the M1 Pro Max! or M1 Maxer, or the M1 UBER MAX! credit to Sam Kohl and Basic Apple Guy. Apple’s naming scheme for the macs dont make sense now, there should be M1X with is two processor configurations like: M1 Pro and M1 Max and M1Z for whatever processor that will be better than the M1 Max.

And this configuration comes from a code snippet referencing the iMac and its internal naming candidate is “iMac Pro”, and is obviously targeted for Pro users but there will be a low-end big sized iMac instead of iMac 24” and iMac Pro. It is expected for release later in WWDC22 or later this September coming with a redesign but unfortunately there are production concerns.

Next for Apple’s March or April Event, he says that we should be getting the M1 Pro and M1 Max Mac mini (likely the redesign Mac mini), iPhone SE 5G, and the iPad Air (5th generation).

And hey! This year’s upcoming M2 iPad Pro will be released this Fall (likely around October) with no concerns to its MagSafe feature and we will be getting MiniLED display to both the 11” and 12.9” models as production is back to normal, and the AirPods Pro 2 is expected to release later this Fall (likely around October too). And he is also agrees that the iPhone 14 lineup will not get Touch ID and the Pro models will only be getting 120hz ProMotion display.
