Context: the iPhone 13 may go out of stock due to limited demand.

According to Bloomberg News, Apple warns suppliers that the iPhone 13 is not expected to get high sales during the holidays and in the future as the demand for the iPhone 13 lineup has weakened, causing consumers going against getting them the hard way.

Apple has already cut its iPhone 13 production goal for this year from 90 million units to 80 million units (11% cut) due to the lack of components aka the global chip shortage. Bloomberg News also said that the hope is to make up much of that shortfall next year when supply is expected to improve.

Because of this, according to Apple’s employees, Apple has informed their manufacturers that minimal orders for the iPhone 13 lineup may not be useful, making it likely that Apple will cause the entire lineup to be out of stock for a few months if not for eternity (until Apple releases the iPhone 14).
