Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the third-generation iPhone SE would have the same design as the current model, with the A15 Bionic SoC, and 5G connectivity being the only major changes, confirming earlier reports. He also predicts that Apple could sell between 25 and 30 million units throughout 2022.

According to him, the iPhone SE 3 will be available in three storage sizes: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. When compared to the second-generation iPhone SE, which is only available in 64GB and 128GB capacities, this is a significant boost.

Unfortunately, Apple does not appear to have any additional colors planned for the upcoming budget iPhone. According to Kuo, the new iPhone will be offered in the same white, black, and red color schemes — he also confirms that the gadget will have a "form factor design" that is "comparable to the existing iPhone."

Finally, the analyst claims that the iPhone SE 3 will come with an A15 processor and 5G connectivity, with compatibility for both mmWave and Sub-6GHz 5G connections.

mmWave is a type of 5G that offers faster speeds but has a shorter range. This implies carriers have to build up additional cell towers to make it available to all customers. In the United States, sub-6GHz 5G deployments generally attain rates of 100-150 Mbps, making it easier to install but significantly less powerful than mmWave 5G.

Perhaps even more intriguing than the iPhone SE speculations is the fact that Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the most trusted sources of Apple rumors, has joined Twitter.

Ming-Chi Kuo‌ is an International Securities analyst who typically gives correct insights into Apple's plans.

Kuo usually communicates his knowledge with investors in formal letters, and he's never posted anything like this on Twitter before. The third-generation iPhone SE is scheduled to be unveiled on March 8 at Apple's "Peek Performance" event. In January, the company appears to have registered new iPhone SE models in regulatory databases, suggesting that the phone would be released soon.
