LG expected to have pressure over BOE

A new report today suggests that LG‘s market share is expected to have pressure over BOE.

According to UBI (seen by The Elec), BOE is converting three their factories to facilities that is capable of manufacturing OLED panels for Apple, totaling to 5 factories producing OLED panels for Apple. Because of this and higher sales of OLED-display iPhones, BOE will be able to surpass LG Display as one of Apple’s main suppliers of iPhone displays in 2023.

And by fourth quarter of next year, BOE’s manufacturing capacity will increase from 96,000 substrates per month to 144,000 substrates per month, which is around a 50% increase.
