In Mark Gurman’s latest Power On newsletter, he talked about what he expects for Apple’s March or April event.
And basically in a nutshell, he reiterated that Apple is planning to launch the third generation iPhone SE (aka iPhone SE 5G) coming with 5G and the A15 Bionic Chip, 5th generation iPad Air, and the bigger-sized iMac or iMac Pro this Spring, likely this March or April.
And to lengthen this article and for those who doesn’t know what to expect for the 5th generation iPad Air and 3rd generation iPhone SE, it is expected to get similar specifications as the 6th generation iPad mini such as: A15 Bionic Chip, 12MP ultra-wide front facing camera, 5G, and Quad-LED True Tone flash. And the reason why M2 Macs won’t be announced here in the March or April event is because last March or April Event, they announced the new Macs powered by the M1 not M1 Pro and M1 Max but instead announced the M1 Pro and M1 Max powered Macs in October, so we should be seeing more new Macs powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max in March or April.
Mark Gurman also expects the bigger-sized iMac to be powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max chip and believes that it will be called the “iMac Pro” and it’s design will be based on the 24” iMac, and will release the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) coming in big changes, such as a stemless design, and the case getting both a redesign and a find-my feature (speakers) (that is expected to be released in September or October according to Kuo-Ming Chi).
