Apple is kicking off its first event of the year on Tuesday, March 8, at 10 AM PST, or 1 PM EST. The event carries the tagline “Peak Performance,” which will be another virtual event broadcasting from Apple Park in Cupertino, California. Apple seems to have posted this 6 days before the event, which is what they did with the Unleashed event.

Well, here is anything and everything we can expect at this Apple Event, and some other information.

How to Watch

You can watch the event online on Apple’s website, or on Apple’s YouTube channel.

iPhone

iPhone SE - Apple

At this event, we are going to see a new iPhone SE 3. The new iPhone SE will still have the body of an iPhone 8, but upgraded internals. We aren’t expecting a redesign or Face ID, but the same Touch ID. The iPhone SE is supposed to receive 5G, and a newer A15 processor, which is the same one found in the iPhone 13 lineup. It will also ship with iOS 15, and possibly a larger battery. The price will most likely be $399. However, the final cost may differentiate.

iPad

iPad Air - Apple

At this event, we are expecting to see a new iPad Air. The current iPad Air doesn’t sit in the best spot since it has an A14 Bionic chip, and the iPad Mini and iPad Pro have the M1 chip. Also, the iPad Mini and iPad Pro both have 5G. Also, the iPad Air is meant to sit in between the two, so right now it's not the best deal. So, we will get 5G and an updated processor—the A15 found in the iPhone 13 lineup. We will probably get Center Stage too, maybe some new colors.

Mac

At first, we thought this would be a Mac event. We thought we could be seeing many Macs, but now we are only expecting to see one. So, let's go over the Mac we think we will see.

Mac Mini Renders - Jon Prosser x RendesByIan

There should be a new, high-end redesigned Mac Mini. According to Jon Prosser, the new Mac mini will feature a new external chassis with a “plexiglass-like” if not plastic reflective surface on the top, in an otherwise aluminum enclosure. The new Mac mini is expected to include the same M1 Pro and Pro Max chip options made available in the MacBook Pro. We are also expecting to get colors similar to the ones found on the M1 iMac 24”, which is interesting.
