Users received a fresh AirTag firmware update from Apple this week, but the contents of the upgrade remained unknown. However, the current AirTag firmware (version 1.0.301) has been validated by Apple to improve the unwanted tracking alert.

Apple has published official notes on its website detailing what has changed with the newest AirTag firmware upgrade, first noted by MacRumors. AirTag Firmware Update 1.0.301, according to the company, fine-tunes the auditory indication when an undesirable AirTag is identified, making it easier to find. Unfortunately, some malevolent individuals have been utilizing AirTag to locate someone without their permission. As a result, Apple announced new anti-stalking features in February to prohibit anyone from tracking people via AirTags.
