In this week’s edition of Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, he will be getting into about the MacBook Pro’s, this year’s Mac pipeline, and more! Which we will get into right now.

First off, he basically reiterated that the iPhone SE 5G and iPad Air 5 will feature the A15 Bionic Chip and 5G which will be released on Apple’s March Event (March 8), not very exciting news but feels very exciting to me because iPad but eh I’m going to save up for a MacBook instead of an iPad since people suggested me to do so and I don’t want to regret doing terrible decisions.

Alright next up, he expects to launch at least one new Mac this spring which could likely be the high-end Mac mini for those who forgot about it as nobody probably talked about this for awhile now. But for the iMac Pro, it is expected to be released this August or September and should be announced during WWDC22.

He also reported that Apple has four new macs to be powered by the M2 chip in its pipeline, including the colorful MacBook/MacBook Air, entry-level 13 MacBook Pro, 24” iMac, and entry level Mac mini. This is to be announced after apple releases its high-end Macs later this year.

Off from his power on newsletter, I believe either the entry-level Mac mini or high-end Mac mini could be getting the redesign but we’ll see then.

Oh also, he reiterated that the entry-level MacBook Pro will get the M2 Chip (as said awhile ago) and will have no Touch Bar and miniLED & ProMotion which sounds illogical as with other rumors about the M2 MacBook/MacBook Air, it would be getting miniLED. And for those who are wondering about the MacBook Pro design, unfortunately he said in a MacRumors Podcast that it will be getting the same design as the M1 MacBook Pro.

Now about Face ID technology for the Mac that has not been talked about for awhile now, he says that Face ID was supposed to be implemented for the M1 iMac but didn’t happen and he believes that the first Mac that would get Face ID technology is either the M2 24” iMac or the external monitor.

And that is his latest edition of his Power On newsletter, do you believe the M2 MacBook Pro would be getting miniLED since the 2021 MacBook Pros have it and the rumored M2 MacBook/MacBook Air would be getting miniLED? Let me know down in the comments!
